Cooler:

New Leaf Growers has one of the largest coolers to for tables with bulbs. Just one side of the cooler has 6 rows of 22 levels to store almost 800 tables.

A movable elevator is used to load tables with bulbs into this large cooler.

Original manufacturing date for this massive cooler is 1987.

After 35 years it was time to replace the panel and update the controls.

Key Note #1:

The 22 layer elevator is actually the first machine I ever worked on when I started in the greenhouse automation. Yes, I started my greenhouse automation journey in August 1987.

After almost 40 years this elevator is still operational.

Key Note #2:

New Leaf Growers is the former location of “Atlantic Growers” later purchased by “Dan Schantz Greenhouse and Garden Center” unfortunately they had to close this location in 2023.

In 2024 a new team (the Den Hollander family) gave the place a new life.
